Corporate Generalist Analyst Program: U.K.
The Corporate Generalist analyst program is a two-year rotational development program recently established in the Firm’s Europe offices. The program is designed to attract, develop and retain a pool of talented future leaders who understand the factors required for us to manage complex and interrelated products.
Joining the analyst program will provide you with exposure to the different functions and areas that support our client-facing divisions, enabling you to help these support teams in delivering the best solutions to our clients. The program provides an excellent opportunity to embark on a career path full of challenges and varied experiences, in a corporate environment that thrives on innovation, celebrates diversity and inspires individuals to achieve their personal best.
Analysts are assigned a program manager. Your program manager will guide you through the rotation and group placement process, and monitor your career development by facilitating the review and advancement processes.
Rotation And Group Placement Process
As an analyst, you will be hired as a generalist and placed in a position within a specific group after an introductory training period.
You will participate in an induction program, attending various business presentations and events before being placed in one of the participating groups (see below). You will then go through three eight-month rotations in one of the participating groups to explore and understand the different roles and functions within these areas. Comprehensive training will continue throughout the two-year program, ensuring that you are developed to your full potential.
Rotation decisions are made based on the needs of the participating groups and the preferences of individual analysts. Analysts are placed into a role within one of the following groups after successfully completing the rotation process:
- Business Information Services
- Corporate Advisory
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Operations
- Risk Management
- Executive Administration
Review Process
As a Corporate Generalist analyst, you will be evaluated as part of the Firmwide review process. Our review process is a two-way dialogue in which you submit your self-assessment and goals for the next six months and receive feedback from your reporting manager and fellow team members; feedback includes advice on how to progress to the next level. The process enables you to be recognized for your achievements and to identify your areas for development. You can expect two formal reviews per year, one at mid-year (end of May) and the other at year-end (end of November).
Advancement Process And Timeline
After successfully completing the program, you can expect to advance to the next level. High performers can expect to be promoted to the assistant vice president level within two to five years.
