Operations Analyst Program: Asia

The Asia Operations analyst program is a two-year program in which you are trained, placed in a business and developed professionally on an ongoing basis. The program begins with an orientation to Lehman Brothers, followed by a comprehensive overview of our Capital Markets business and professional development training curriculum. The program is designed to provide you with the professional skills, industry knowledge and development opportunities that will enable you to achieve success within the Operations Division.

Group Placement Process

Following the training program, you will be placed into specific areas of the Division. Placement decisions are made by hiring managers and the global head of the division, based on overall business needs and analyst skill sets demonstrated throughout the recruitment process.

Feedback And Review Process

As an analyst, you will be evaluated as part of the Firmwide review process. You can expect two formal reviews per year: one mid-year (end of May) and the other at year-end (end of November).

Our review process is a two-way dialogue in which you submit a self-assessment and goals for the next six months, as well as receive feedback from your reporting manager and team members. The process enables you to understand what goals you have achieved and your areas for development.

Advancement Process And Timeline

You can expect to advance to senior analyst upon successful completion of the program in two years. High performers can expect to achieve promotion to the assistant vice president level in five years.

Mobility Opportunities

Lehman Brothers supports mobility across divisions and regions. Based on performance, Operations analysts are able to move within the Division after one year in the program and are able to move to any other division after completion of the program. To keep you informed of available opportunities, Firmwide job posting notifications are e-mailed to all Operations analysts on a biweekly basis. Historically, approximately half of any given Operations analyst class will take advantage of career mobility at the end of the first year.
