Summer Analyst Community Leadership Program: U.S.

Lehman Brothers recently launched its first-ever Summer Analyst Community Leadership program. One-of-a-kind on Wall Street, this opportunity is offered to Capital Markets and Investment Banking summer analysts who are selected for their leadership capabilities and passion for community service.

Program Description

In addition to their formal internship with the Firm, these summer analysts will spend two weeks volunteering with organizations which focus on a variety of projects ranging from children’s education and recreation to preparing and delivering food to New Yorkers living with critical illnesses.

In its inaugural year, the program was a big success, gaining acclaim from both the summer analyst participants and our partner non-profit organizations.

We accept applications for the 2008 Summer Analyst Community Leadership Program from students who have received and already accepted an offer for our Lehman Brothers Summer Analyst Program. Once you have accepted your offer, we welcome your submitting an application. Please click here to download the application.

Culture and Commitment
“The culture and commitment to teamwork at Lehman Brothers is what makes the Firm so dominant from a business perspective, and the best place to work and learn on the Street. Our ability to come together and work as a team for such a great cause really shows what kind of place Lehman Brothers is, and what kind of people work there. I am more excited than ever to join the Lehman Brothers team full-time after meeting such great people during the Community Leadership program. The relationships we built over these few weeks will definitely carry on throughout our careers at the Firm, and help solidify our ‘One Firm’ future partnership.”

Broader Impact
“I appreciated the program combination of employees donating time and the Firm donating material goods. Simply throwing money at a cause can sometimes yield lesser impact, and Lehman Brothers seems to really understand this.”

Combining Interests
“I think it’s a great opportunity for people who are both passionate about community service and looking for a career in finance to blend their two interests. The program has positively affected my experience at Lehman Brothers this summer... During the philanthropy program, you get to meet and interact with a variety of interesting individuals... Most of the daily volunteers and employees at God’s Love We Deliver have interesting backgrounds and stories. As a young person exploring career paths, it’s an excellent opportunity to meet people who offer unique and different perspectives.”
