Our Finance Group

The Financial Strategy and Special Projects team is divided into three distinct areas:

Global Systems and Projects
The Global Systems and Projects (GS&P) group ensures that the Finance Division has automated, scaleable processes and systems in place to ensure a strong control environment. The team also provides value-added MIS to their business colleagues. The team is responsible for:
  • Actively responding to the systems and process re-engineering needs of the global Finance groups.
  • Utilizing project management tools to drive business improvements across functions and regions.
  • Partnering with Finance users and Finance Technology group to achieve our common objectives.
  • Ensuring that projects are executed and implemented in a timely manner.
India
The Finance Division is in the process of building a presence in Lehman Brothers' office in India. The Special Projects group manages the transitions process to India and ensures that the migration process is carried out smoothly. This requires interaction with all the departments within the Finance organization globally, as well as other parts of the Firm, including Technology, Audit, and the Productivity and Process Improvement teams.
Special Projects
In addition, the team is involved in a wide array of special projects, such as ad hoc analyses on businesses and competitors, the preparation for off-sites, conferences and meetings, as well as business continuity planning.
