Securitized Products

The Securitized Products group focuses on the origination, structuring and underwriting of asset-backed securities. It is involved in every step of the financing process from client origination to secondary trading. The group works closely with other areas of Lehman Brothers, including the Investment Banking, Equities and Fixed Income Divisions, and is organized into various complementary teams.

The Securitized Products group includes the former Mortgage Capital Division, which is responsible for our mortgage-operating businesses. Lehman Brothers has recently acquired a number of subsidiaries that serve as a direct source of "raw product" to the Firm's securitization and trading platforms, thereby providing a fully vertically integrated mortgage business. The mortgage-operating businesses provide a wide range of mortgage products to borrowers through wholesale and retail origination channels.
