Venture Capital

Established in 1995, the Lehman Brothers Venture Partners group manages funds that focus on making investments in companies capable of turning innovative technology and management solutions into successful businesses, primarily in the technology industries. The group's primary investment focus is on mid- to later-stage privately held venture companies, as well as growth investments in more mature operating businesses. We will make opportunistic investments in earlier stage companies with limited technology development risk.

Investors in Lehman Brothers Venture Capitals' funds include Lehman Brothers, Lehman Brothers' employees, and institutional and individual third-party investors. As an integrated component of the overall Lehman Brothers platform, Lehman Brothers Venture Partners can call on the extensive global resources of Lehman Brothers to assist in evaluating and enhancing the value of portfolio companies. At the same time, the integrity of the investment and portfolio decision process is reinforced by dedicated investment professionals and the substantial capital commitments made by Lehman Brothers and its employees.

Lehman Brothers Venture Partners currently manages more than $1.1 billion in committed capital to date, with $717 million invested in over 84 portfolio companies across a diverse range of industries and geographies. Lehman Brothers Venture Partners closed its most recent fund, Lehman Brothers Venture Partners V, L.P. in September 2007, with $365 million in committed capital.
