Lehman Brothers Ranked Among the "50 Best Workplaces in the U.K." and Received "Special Award for Disability Excellence"
2 May 2007
Lehman Brothers was ranked as one of the "50 Best Workplaces in the U.K." for a third consecutive year in a survey conducted by Great Place to Work® Institute and published by the Financial Times.
The Firm was also honored with the "Disability Excellence Award" for a second straight year. The award is supported by the Employers’ Forum on Disability, the U.K.’s leading employers' organization focused on disability; it recognizes Lehman Brothers' strategic thinking about disability issues as well as the Firm's efforts to promote positive attitudes to disability in the workplace.
Below is an excerpt from the Financial Times article highlighting the award:
-
"Susan Scott-Parker, chief executive officer at [the Employers’ Forum on Disability], says Lehman Brothers stood out for its creativity and because it had worked to change disability assumptions right across the business. 'They have positioned it as a business and societal priority... they are trying to change the way we as human beings make assumptions about each other.'"
These awards are excellent recognition of the Firm's efforts to maintain a best practice work environment, as well as the strength of our inclusive One Firm culture which is at the very center of the Firm's ongoing success and momentum.
