Lehman Brothers Ranked Among the "50 Best Workplaces in the U.K." and Received "Special Award for Disability Excellence"
28 May 2008 Lehman Brothers has been ranked as one of the U.K.'s 50 Best Workplaces for a fourth consecutive year in a survey published by the Financial Times. Lehman Brothers was also honored with the "Disability Excellence Award" for a third year running, which is supported by the Great Place to Work Institute U.K. and the Employers' Forum on Disability (the U.K.'s leading employers' organization focused on disability). This award recognizes the Firm's strategic thinking about disability issues, as well as our efforts to promote positive attitudes to disability in the workplace.
Below are excerpts from the Financial Times article highlighting the award:
- "... in recent years [Lehman Brothers] has developed a number of important partnerships with external organizations to ensure it is positioned as an employer of choice for talented disabled individuals."
- The Firm "has a dedicated Disability Working Forum, to ensure representation on this key issue across each of the business divisions."
- "Lehman [Brothers] devotes significant resources to promoting disability awareness in the wider community and places senior executives in positions where they can offer real expertise and thought leadership to charities and organizations committed to driving positive change on the disability agenda."
These awards are excellent recognition of our inclusive One Firm culture and commitment to maintaining a best practice work environment.
