In February 2008, Harvard Business School Baker Library Historical Collections unveiled the online guide to the Lehman Brothers Collection. The collection was created in 2002, when Lehman Brothers donated an extensive archive of company deal books and business records. The Lehman Brothers Collection is a major resource for studying business trends through the lens of investment banking. It provides students, scholars and visitors rare access to twentieth-century corporate records pertaining to business transactions, retail development, globalizing markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate growth, and the reshaping of American business.
The Lehman Brothers Collection has two major components: deal books recording investment banking transactions and internal company papers. While the collection is not a comprehensive archive of the Firm, it does provide materials selected from the Firm's historical record, as well as details about the histories of many companies with which Lehman Brothers conducted business.
